Pioneer 60
Our Story
On August 20, 2027, Jeff Campbell turns 60. He and his wife Alicia are marking that birthday by climbing the South Summit of Pioneer Peak, above Palmer, Alaska — the exact mountain, on the exact day.
The last six years included major health challenges and real change. The years since have been about recovery and rebuilding — not returning to who Jeff was before, but becoming who he is now. None of it has been a solo journey. Alicia has walked every step of it beside him, and she has had a journey of her own along the way.
Jeff and Alicia are intentional about partnership — in life, in marriage, in family and grandparenting, in business, and in community. Pioneer 60 grew out of that intentionality. It is not primarily about proving physical capability. It is about choosing, deliberately, to keep moving forward.
A Switchback Isn’t Backward
“A switchback can make it look like you’re walking away from the summit. But you’re still gaining elevation.”
Anyone who has hiked a real mountain knows the feeling — the trail bends back on itself, and for a moment it feels like you’re moving away from where you’re trying to go. You’re not. That’s simply how mountains are climbed. Recovery, rebuilding, and hard seasons of life work the same way.
Not Just Jeff’s Mountain
Pioneer 60 is built to resonate with people whose “mountain” has nothing to do with Jeff’s health at all. Everyone is carrying something they’re climbing through — a health season, a career change, a loss, a comeback, a goal they’ve been circling for years. This is an invitation to name your own mountain and keep climbing it, switchbacks and all.
We don’t want to simply count birthdays. We want to make them count.
We’re Still Climbing.
